The Preschool/Kindergarten Program began in the fall of 1977. The program is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission for academic standards. There is a staff of 11 teachers and 4 para-professionals. Because of our accreditation standards, the program follows Columbia Countys school calendar (since most families reside in Columbia County) and does meet 180 school days.
The program, which meets from 9:30 to 1:30, consists of K3, K4, and K5 classes (3, 4, and 5 year olds). The possible enrollment is 202.
The breakdown of classes is - - - K3 T/Th 2 classes of 12 each K3 MWF 4 classes of 12 each K4 T/Th 2 classes of 12 each K4 MWF 4 classes of 12 each K4 M-F 1 class of 18 K5 M-F 2 classes of 20 each

MOTHERS DAY OUT This program began in 1979. Consisting of 11 classes for Infants 3 year olds, groups meet from 9:30 to 1:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The class structure is as follows - - - Infants 10 children, Babies 10 children, Creepers 12 children, Toddlers 12 children, 2A 14 children, 2B 14 children, 2C 14 children, 2D 14 children, 3A 15 children, 3B 15 children, 3C 9 children There are two teachers in each class, except 3C, which has 1. There is a staff of 21 teachers. The maximum number of children here on a given day is 139. This program began in 1979. |

The CREEPER CLUB is a program for Babies, Toddlers, and 2 year olds that meets on Mondays and Fridays. It began in 1995 as a means of assisting families with children in the MWF preschool to have younger siblings enrolled on the same day. The class structure is as follows - - - Babies 10 children, Toddlers 12 children, 2 year olds 14 children The program has a staff of 6 teachers. The maximum number of children here on a M/F is 36. lst priority is given to younger siblings of children registered for MWF K3 or K4 and then is open to anyone. |

SUMMER PLAYCATION DAYS meets in the summer for 8 weeks on T/Th. It enrolls about 110 children, with a staff of 15. There are 8 classes Babies, Toddlers, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4s, 5/6s year olds.
CLIMBERS CLUB meets at the same time. It is an academically oriented program for rising K5 and lst graders and is staffed by certified teachers. It began in 2006. |
